What a restoration involves

A restoration fixes the wear that builds up on a roof over the years. The exact scope depends on the roof's material and condition, and is agreed with you before work begins. It typically includes:

• A full inspection of the roof surface, flashings and gutters
• Cleaning to remove dirt, moss and lichen
• Replacing cracked or broken tiles
• Re-bedding and re-pointing ridge and hip capping on tile roofs
• Replacing loose or rusted fixings on metal roofs
• Repairing or replacing worn valleys and flashings
• Applying a roof coating where it suits the roof

Is restoration right for my roof?

Restoration works best when the roof structure and most of the roofing material are still sound. If tiles are failing across the whole roof, or metal sheets are rusted through, a replacement is usually the better long-term option. We will inspect your roof and recommend the approach that suits it.
