How it's installed

The gutters are cleaned and checked first, because guard should not be fitted over rusted or leaking gutters. Mesh is then fixed along the roof edge and over the gutter. The fixing method depends on whether the roof is tile or metal, so it can shed debris without trapping water.

Is it maintenance-free?

No product makes gutters completely maintenance-free. Fine debris can still settle on top of the mesh, so an occasional check and clean is still worthwhile. Gutter protection reduces how often this needs doing.
